How to Give Parents & Students Portal Access

From a student’s profile, generate a student or parent invite link (or create a login); they set a password and get a read-only portal showing status, documents, and deadlines.

Parents are often the decision-makers and payers, so keeping them informed builds trust and referrals. Relently gives parents and students their own real-time portals — no more repetitive “any update?” calls.

Invite a parent or student

  1. Open the student’s profile.
  2. Under Student Portal Access or Parent Portal Access, click Invite Link (or Create Login).
  3. Share the link — they set their own password.
  4. They see a real-time view of application stage, documents, and deadlines.
Portals are scoped tightly: a parent sees only their own child’s information, and access is controlled by role.

Portal availability depends on your plan. The parent portal is included from the Professional plan upward.

How do they get access?

You generate an invite link (or a direct login) from the student’s profile; they open it and set their own password.
